you were wrong in first place... why added vinegar?

never add vinegar to a battery, that destines to destroy it.  The acid used in vinegar (acetic acid) is not the same type used in a battery (sulfuric acid). you could buy a bottle of car battery acid from an auto parts store or just add distilled water. in the worst scenario, you could pee into it if no other options.
