Most of the modern cars have non-interference engines.  Broken timing belt only strands you and wouldn't do harm to your engine.  The most two popular sedans: Camry has non-interference engine since we have it here and Acoord started non-interference engine since 2000 I believe.  Time chain is life time and doesn't need replacement.
