First you buy only TOYOTA extended warranty. I will avoid any 3rd party warranty.

For basic, they have powertrain warranty, which covers engine and transmission. Toyota Certified velchle will have this warranty as well.

On top of that, there is comprehensive warranty to cover the rest of electronics, braking system, etc. It is close to original bump-to-bump warranty. They will give a list of items NOT covered under this warranty.

 

Toyota covers up to 7 years / 100k miles.
