When to buy 2010 Honda Civic VP/LX?

I plan to buy a new 2010 Honda Civic VP or LX. The best price I can get during Labor Day (in South Bay, CA) was VP: $15421; LX: $15988.

Will the price for 2010 modal drop more before the end of year? The dealer still has a lot of LX inventory.

I can still drive my old civic for a while. However, I do not want to put more maintenance money into the old car.

Please advise.
