remove the big nut on the shaft outside end then punch the shaft

remove the big nut on the shaft outside end then punch the shaft in from the hub, until it is loose, use a prier bar to pry the inner shaft end out off the differential house or transmission, at this point you need to swivel the hub away to make more space in order to get the shaft out. You don't need to disassemble the low arm ball joint by this way for the CV boot change.
