diesel credit $4500 (off invoice price) which is pretty good deal now besides Federal alternative fuel tax credit $900~1800 (can be claimed next year with your tax return). The diesel version can run 26mpg which is great for such a heavy vehicle (5200lb). You can factory order 2011 model now if interested. The prices of 2010 and 2011 are the same. BMW covers all maintance (including brake pads) for the first 4 years unless you buy extended warranty for another 2 years and total 100K mi. Gas engine version (35i) is less expensive than diesel version but doesn't have that much incentive and the gas mileage is worse.

BTW, in China, X5 sells for more than 1 million RMB. But you have to consider all the trouble for the shipping. Also, diesel station in China is unknown to me.
