If it only happens during start up, then it's OK

I own a 2010 Outback, but I guess they are the same. At start-up, my engine will rev to about 2000 rpm, for about 20 seconds, then it will come down to 1500. I usually tap the throttle a little to bring it down to 1000 rpm before I put it in D.
