Different Rebates: GM $5000 vs Honda $750

For the sake of debate, if memory still serves, in 2006:

GM offered rebates between $4000-5000 for Malibu during the majority of the year.

Honda only offered $500-750 rebate during the yearly Honda Clearance in the Fall for several weeks.
