A question about transfer case

在两区模式下，t case是不工作的，因此，公路性能和分动箱没有任何关系的。
Thanks for this note. I used to think t-case works
even at 2WD mode.

My question is, why engineers not make t-case works
at 2WD mode and provide a 1.3 ratio so to avoid
regear problem at axle?

This is a stupid question I believe. Just want
ask for investigation/analysis/fun
