AWD on paved road

I am still using subaru as a example.

I think their website claimed engaging in 4Auto mode
distributes the torque evenly on all four wheels, causing less wheel spin problem and therefore gives better peformance than 2Wheel Front Drive (usually have problme with understeering) or 2 Wheel Rear Drive (usually have problem with oversteering)

So I guess on certain specialized racing car models,
AWD may have some points.
