I did not say that the driver in wrangler suffered severe damange. What I said was:

just because the wrangler looked OK does not mean its driver is OK too.

i.e. the driver in wrangler MIGHT also suffered some injury.

traffic accident is a complicated issue, anything can happen. I remember a documentary film on Fox channel showing that an accident in which a SUV driver suffered
serious neck injury while his SUV looked "UNTOUCHED".
