Yes, you need to pay the court fee.

But, you can pay the court fee and ask for take a defense driving class to dismiss your ticket if you do not have any ticket in the past 12-month. You still need to pay the court fee and the class (total about $100), but, there will be no record in your driving history (no insurance rate increase), and you may get some discount in car insurace.
