I believe Sentinal did a good job to lay the facts in front of her before she agreed. If she refused to pay, she will have to go to court. She would have the right to choose a banch trial or a jury trial. In either case there is a high likelihood that she would have been found guilty because neither the judge or the jury works for State Farm. If she is found guilty, not only she will pay that $500, she also need to pay the court cost and the jury fee. I am sure Sentinal convinced her that she would loose the case. Remember, she lied to the police in order to evade responsibilities during the accident.
