Conditions of Installation
1. Customers are required to obtain all relevant approvals, consents, and permits prior to installation – please ensure that you check with your local council/planning authority and body corporate. Consent and permit requirements do vary between states. For customers who do not own the property, you must also ensure that you get written permission from the owner of the property and provide this to Origin at the time of sale.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the customer’s premises complies with relevant electricity standards prior to solar installation. In the event the premise does not comply, customers will be required to ensure all relevant works are completed by a qualified electrician. Works may include (but not limited to) the following: •
Rectifying an inadequate existing electrical supply. •
Installation of a safety switch. •
Upgrading of a switchboard. •
Upgrading of meter panel board •
Additional works where there is insufficient room in the meter box (for a Gross meter) for the
measuring of exported electricity or; •
Where a meter box is non-compliant.
