Chinese painting "Ouyang Xiu" vs. Robert Bruce Williams's oil

Robert Bruce Williams is an "American Portraitist", who was one of very few leading portrait artists.  I

decided to enter this trade was more encouraged by his influence. So lucky that i was at his studio for a week to get many technology, information plus some presents.

I read his portrait of a lady at a campus today. Again I am convinced by his mastering based on

zealotry and diligence. Part of his technique like scumble,bold brush strokes remind me a bit of Chinese painting, so I pasted this painting.

 

 

去年元夜時 花市燈如晝 月上柳梢頭 人約黃昏後

今年元夜時，月與燈依舊。不見去年人，淚濕春衫袖。

您剛剛聽到的，是歐陽修的「生查子」，描寫元宵節的懷舊心情。
