Feeder 和 target school不完全一回事。Stanford/MIT是IB top feeder吗？NO

But Stanford/MIT are Top target schools.

Top feeder - the school ACTUALLY sends a higher percentage of students to the industry.

Top target - the industry extremely likes the students from the school.

 

Take Columbia and MIT.

Columbia may have 500 students in one class want to do IB.  200 actually made it. (40%).

MIT may only have 50 people in one class want to do IB. 30 actually made it (60%).

Is MIT a top feeder? No.

Is MIT a top target school?  Yes

Is Columbia a top target school? Obvious the answer is still yes.

Typically, top feeders are also top target schools, but the reverse may not be true.
