(基辅13日讯)一名来自美国的新闻工作者布伦特·雷诺(Brent Renaud)在基辅周边地区的战事中身亡,他也是《纽约时报》前记者。
据英国《卫报》3月13日报道,两名记者在基辅州城市伊尔平遭遇袭击。其中一名是上述死者,另一名一同行动的记者在受伤后被送往医院接受治疗。
另据“德国之声”(DW)3月13日报道,基辅警方官员安德烈·内比托夫(Andriy Nebytov)公布了上述消息。他透露称,死者身上有《纽约时报》的记者证和美国护照。尽管记者证上显示该名记者是《纽约时报》雇员,但据DW报道,《纽约时报》方面称该名死者遇难前并非其雇员。
《纽约时报》公关部门推特帐户(@NYTimesPR)3月13日发布推特称:“我们对布伦特·雷诺的死讯深感悲伤。布伦特是一名才华横溢的电影制作者,多年来为《纽约时报》做出了贡献。尽管他在过去对《纽约时报》做出过贡献(最近是在2015年),但他并没有与《纽约时报》签订任何一个在乌克兰的项目。之所以早前有关于他曾为《纽约时报》工作的报道流传开来,是因为他佩戴着一份多年以前为一个项目所配发的《纽约时报》媒体证件。” 据DW报道,布伦特·雷诺以“报道冲突地区的人道主义故事”闻名,从事记者工作已有二十多年。
根据《卫报》和英国媒体inews等媒体报道,基辅警方称,造成记者死亡的开火方是俄罗斯军队。
