报道称,国际奥委会的影片虽解除了一些人的疑虑,却引发质疑。据德国之声中文网今天的报道,人权观察中国研究员王亚秋在网上说,国际奥会与彭帅进行通话的举动,俨然让该组织开始扮演散播中国外宣的角色。
此外,旅居美国的中国人权律师滕彪告诉德国之声,国际奥委会的作法非常不光彩,“我认为他们已成了中国政府的帮手”。他说,过去数周有许多体育明星声援彭帅,尤其世界女子职业网球协会的态度非常坚决,但国际奥委会为了平息国际呼声,就配合中国政府,进行一个表演,称彭帅现在是自由的,只是不想被打扰,“这完全是中国政府的说法,而奥委会的角色不是中立的,它们完全站在中国政府这边”。
据美国媒体引述报道称,中国政治研究学者丶新西兰坎特伯雷大学的教授布雷迪(Anne-Marie Brady)则以“此地无银三百两”来形容国际奥会的作法。
世界女子职业网球协会(WTA)主席西蒙(Steve Simon)坚持,虽然很高兴看到彭帅的影像,但“仍然不清楚彭帅是否自由,是否能够在没有胁迫或外部干扰的情况下自行做出决定和采取行动”。
