Sixty percent of registered voters in the Dec. 10-14 survey said they approve of Biden's job as President-elect. By contrast, 40 percent of respondents disapprove
The poll found Biden garnering majority support across demographics except among Republican voters, voters 65 years old and older, and respondents who live in rural areas.
Sixty-two percent of men approve of Biden as president-elect while 58 percent of women said the same.
Seventy-two percent of 18- to 34-year-olds and 65 percent of 35- to 49-year-olds support Biden, along with 55 percent of 50- to 64-year-olds.
However, 51 percent of voters 65 and older disapprove of Biden as president-elect.
The poll found 87 percent of Black voters, 72 percent of Hispanic voters and 51 percent of white voters approve of Biden.
Ninety-three percent of Democratic respondents support Biden along with 60 percent of independents.
By contrast, 73 percent of Republicans disapprove of the former Vice President as president-elect.
The electoral college met on Monday to formally vote Biden as president-elect, and is expected to certify the votes on Jan. 6.
The Hill-HarrisX poll was conducted online among 3,799 registered voters. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 1.59 percentage points.
