President Trump may come down to history as a President who has appointed the most Circuit Courts Judges in any 4 years term. He has appointed 50 and there are 2 more pending in the Senate (i.e. minimum of 52). Carter still holds the title as he had appointed 56 Circuit Judges. Out of the 13 Circuit Courts, GOP has the majority in 7 (i.e. 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 11th). The Dems still holds the majority 6: 1st, 4th, infamous 9th, 10th, D.C Circuit and Fed Appeals.
At 1st Circuit - 4 DEMs vs. 2 GOP appointees
At 4th Circuit - 9 DEMs vs. 6 GOP, there are 2 DEMs judges at 79 and 76 years old
At 9th Circuit - 16 DEMs vs. 13 GOP; there are 6 DEMs judges at 74, 74, 73, 72, 72 and 70 years old
At 10th Circuit - 7 DEMs vs. 5 GOP
At D.C Circuit - 7 DEMs vs. 4 GOP; there are 2 DEMs judges at 80 and 77 years old At FED Claims - 8 DEMs vs. 4 GOP
God forbid, if the elder DEM judges described above choose to leave, then Trump would flip another 3 important Circuit Courts as well as making long lasting impacts to the federal judiciary for 2 decades. Celebrate but be focus to help him getting re-elected AND keep the Senate Majority. We all know, those 2 must come hand in hand.
