to us, it is the simple fact, not hypothesis/guess.

We let my son know very early, 8th grade? He was very happy to with his gpa and accomplishment and relaxed too much. We told him that as an asian boy, he needs to be way way above his classmates if he wants to get into a good one. I do not think any of top students of his school this year will have chance to H, except for a AA girl, whose has decent gpa (far far below those top aisan and white kids). My son and his friends all know it. Not sure why ur daughter does not want to listen; it is time to know the real world. Maybe you talked to her too late.
