Boston PD Commissioner William Evans: We had 40,000 people "standing tall against bigotry and hatred in our city, and that's a good feeling"

 

The day went off mostly smoothly, Boston Police Commissioner William Evans said at a news conference this afternoon.

Evans said that "99.9 percent of the people here were for the right reasons -- that's to fight bigotry and hate."
