My feeling is these people are arrogant

Ironic, isn't it. These "liberal" people are supposed to be open minded and cared about "little" people but they are not open minded and ignored the reality of mid America.  People in those area are angry, very angry. Washington and big city people and those celebrities do not want anything to do with those poor country people. They are so arrogant to say bad words to those people and now those people had spoken. They have no jobs and no hope. Trump gave them hope and Clinton ignored them. Believe me, these people traditionally voted Democrat and are taken granted of by Clinton. If Clinton just visited more in these areas and said some soothing words they would vote Clinton. Jobs. Those liberals have no idea what is the feelings of no job and cannot support family.
