i think i understand your worry.

That is true, if many chinese kids are doing great, for any person's child, like my own child, it might not be good news, as he will face tougher direct competetion. On the other hand, this kind of competetion is unavoidable. If as whole population our status is improved, it will certainly help each individual in this society. For this reason, I am very happy to the kis who won the competetion; i know my son has little chance to win, but still happy for them. If my son is not talented to be on the top, then be the way he is; it is better than as a whole nobody can be on the top.
