The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahamas has advised that with immediate effect, cruise ship passengers from those countries whose nationals would normally require visas to travel to The Bahamas, are no longer required to obtain a visa if they plan to travel to and depart from The Bahamas via cruise ship.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also advised that this policy does not apply to persons who plan to travel to The Bahamas by cruise and return by airline or by private vessel.
Persons traveling by air from those countries whose nationals normally require visas to enter The Bahamas must still obtain a Bahamian visa to facilitate entry into The Bahamas.
