My case is 485 was received on 11/04, fp was done, no ead or any update information online status available, still in intial review, and my h1b will expire by the end of feb. I called in the uscis, they said if I called in on feb. 4th (after 3 month), then can ask to produce an interim ead for me. my question is how long will they need to produe the interim ead?

-Don't think there is interim ead available at present. If pending > 90 days, call USCIS again. If calling does not work, visit local office and if this does not work either, send a email to complain it at: [e-mail]

Provide the IO/representative' name and number in the email. Normally they will approve your EAD in 3 days after you do this.

do I still need to change from h1 to h4?

-No.

can I work using interim ead with h4 status?
