One more question. in Jul2007, I filed I-485 as principal (EB3) and my wife also filed I-485 as 2nd ?? (beneficiary?) 

Now, my wife's priority date is current and she is trying to file I-485 as principal.

If she wants to relink (transfer) her I-485 to her I-140. But now she is principal and I am 2nd ?? (beneficiary). Do we need to fill the I-485 form again? Since now our roles are just switched. (my role is from principal to benificiary, my wife role is from beneficiary to principal) 

-She just needs to write a letter to ask USCIS to relink both your I-485 and her I-485 together from your EB3 I-140 to her EB2 I-140. Just read that sample letter in the link I gave you and do the same way as that in the link. It does noi matter who has the EB3 I-140.
