我是H1B，想成立一个公司，将公司放在我的名下。请问在什么情况下属于非法工作？什么情况下不属于非法工作？

 

比如和合伙人一起讨论一些想法，对一些工作的看法是否属于非法工作？

公司放在我的名下，签进和签出支票是否属于非法工作？

我有一些人脉，帮助公司联系一些客户是否属于非法工作？

-Technically, you only can be the owner (investor), not be the employee and that means you can not involve in any of the company's business. But practically, it is OK for what you plan here because USCIS can not tell what you do for the company as long as you do not get paid (salary, payroll) from the company.
