从车祸看美国人的诚实

下班回家的路上，那天雨下得很大，突然间，我感到车后巨大的碰撞。我知道有人撞我的车了。我试图寻找肇事人的车。周围很多车川行，而且天也黑，不能确定到底是哪一个。我把车停在一旁的小巷，报了警。这时候一辆车停靠过来，在车上有一家人。中年白人夫妇和几个孩子。这位女士打开了窗口，并递给我一张纸。她告诉我，他们看到了整个事情，跟上那车，写下了车牌号码。然后，他们开车到整条路上回来找我。我真感动。他们给我留了电话号码，并告诉我如果我需要的见证打电话给他们。

这时候警察来了，我把这些信息交给警察。就在这个时候，另外一辆车停靠过来，一位女士下了车。她告诉我们，她十几岁的女儿造成的事故。女儿吓坏了，开车逃回家。当她回到家，告诉母亲发生了什么。这位母亲很生气，说你不应该那样做。于是，母亲开车找到我，解释了一切。

接下去事情很顺利。我很快那到赔偿。打电话谢那一家人。他们说 “we need to hold people accountable and cannot let them get away with such things..”
