It is faulty logic to claim that the military actions on 6/4/89 were justified because China is doing well economically today. There is not necessarily a link between the two. By the same faulty logic, one can easily claim that the severe, unprecedented social problems (corrupsion, social injustice, broad deterioration of moral standards, pending environmental disasters ... to name a few) in today's China are also results of the 6/4 military crackdown.
The 6/4 incident should be judged based on the incident itself. What was done improperly should be regarded as such.
