-I think you did not understand what I said above. Your I-485 or your spouse I-485 filing does not affect your spouse's current F1 status until she finishes her current study program/degree. Then, she can change her F1 status to H1 if she find a job after she graduates. Then, you can go to China to apply for the h4 visa to come back and stay here with H4 status.
