My sister case for immigrant visaapplication had been forwarded to Guangzhou on Dec 2, 2010.

Do you know if her immigrant visa application would be affected by the priority date backward effective in Jan 2010? Thanks for any advice or response.

-Yes if too many Chinese in this category are waiting in line for the December visa number and thus, she may not get the visa number of December. But if she is lucky to get the December visa number, she will be fine.
