When you entered US with AP, your status is parolee, not h1, but you still can use the H1 bebefits such as working without EAD until your h1 expires though your status is not h1 after using AP. You can reinstate your H1 status by doing h1 extension/transfer within US or getting a h1 visa outside US to come back.
