请问小白兔和86, 关于Reentry permit 的事,我现在自拿到绿卡起以在已在美国呆了5年多,完全符合申请公民, 但找到一国内工作(严格要求不能是外籍人士),所以我想在我回去工作的时候保绿卡,(我在美国没有房产,只有一姐姐在美国)

1)我是不是该申请 RP?

-You have to apply for the RP if you want to stay in China continuously for more than 1 year and less than two years. You can come back to US to apply for another RP before the first one expires. So, totally you may can stay in China for three to four years. If you do have RP and you stay in China for more than one year, your GC will be cancelled.

2)申请RP我基本就能够得到RP批准吗?  

-Noramlly it should have no problem.

 我想在中国呆3-4年.

3)若3年后我在回到美国工作(比如2014年我回来),我又想申请公民了,那么我前面已经呆够了的那5年还算数吗?

-No. Your physical presence will be zero.

还是又得从2014年再等5年??

-Only need four years because you can use the last year of the presence in China as the physical presence in US based on the immigration lawyer.
