Well written and thought after aricle. I can see how much pressure Mao had to endure. Internationally Mao had to face the pressure from the Soviet Union from the North, Taiwan and 7th Fleet from the East, and US from the South, not to mention the Indians as well. Internally Mao had to withstand the pressure from 刘少奇们却要包产到户搞自etc. Mao led the country and survived the difficult times.
