回复：因公护照过期可以回中国吗？有美国绿卡。

帮朋友问问。他爸有绿卡，但十几年前是拿的因公护照来美国的，护照早已过期限。现在想回国探亲。有什么办法吗？据说他爸申请过过护照延期，但是交了申请以后就没有下文了。
-If he did not get a valid passport, he can not come back to U.S. even if he has green card. It seems it is difficult for a Chinese to change his 因公护照 to private护照 unless his previous working unit in China supports him in this matter. So, he needs to think about it carefully before he go back to China. If he is not confident in this matter, he may just apply for a US citizenship.
