Your H-1b is extension beyond 6 years, so H-1 and EAD do not really different, because if your 485 is denied, no matter your H-1 or EAD, you will lose your status.

There, though, little difference. You can use EAD to work as many you like; on the other hand, your company will pay for your H-1 extension.
