10 多年前J1从中国来美国工作1 年后去加拿大学习工作并入了加籍. 几年前TN来美工作后传H-1B. 刚收到485-RFE, 其中要J-1豁免。很奇怪，按照中国领馆的豁免条例，我已不再是中国公民，不具豁免的首要条件。真是走投无路！
-Because you were Chinese citizen when you got the J1 status, you need to get J1 waiver before you filed your I-485. You still need J1 waiver no matter how long the time passed and what citizenship you have now. Otherwise, your I-485 will be denied.
