10 years ago, there were only about 10 or so Chinese students in UNIL (University of Lausanne), there is another university EPFL which is famous for its micro-Engineering programs. Close to UNIL, both along the Lac Leman.
My wife and I once took TGV to Paris from Lausanne, when we were sitting in a river-bus drifting on the river Sein, you know what? We felt dull, we missed Lausanne, Ouchy, Saint Sulpice (you can buy a day-pass and take the bus to these places). IMD (One of the top Business School) is in Ouchy.
You can also take train to Vevey (Nestle's headquarter) and Montreux, unbelievable.
