I guess it's Chicago, right?

In Chicago, retail tax including prepared foods (but not sure unprepared foods like vegetable, fruit, bread etc from grocery stores) is about 10.5%. Clothes, shoes are also subject to tax.

Gas - the price is about $0.50 higher than California's. As we know Cal should be the highest because Cal laws require refineries to put additives to gas so as to improve air quality. For example, regular unleaded in SCal is about $3 now, but in Chicago it's about $3.5

The foods in grocery stores are much more expensive than that in Cal.

What you see in Chicago is what we'll see nationwide if O8 is elected down the road.
