Two weeks ago I ordered three converters on the web. I chose the ones priced right at $40, so all I need to pay is shipping -- $16 for all three. ( I have two coupons, my co-worker gave me another one)
I am glad to report that the installation is as easy as hooking up a dvd player to your TV. All chennels we had before are still there after the installation of the converter box, only more clearer. We even received several more sub-channels.
I used the same antenna that was purchase several years ago. So obviously it is not so called "Digital Antenna."
I orginially set it up inside my attic. ( I don't want to drill holes on my roof top, to protect it from the thunder, and I want it to last a long time )
Whoever want to save money can give this a try. You might be surprised by the quality of the picture showing up on your old non-digital TV.
