A good book of Chinese histroy written by an American in 1933

I by chance bought a book, The Pageant of Chinese History, written Elizabeth Seeger in 1933. Its fourth edition was published in 1962. This is a very good history book about China. You can introduce thsi book to Americans because this book was written by an America in very early time 1933 before establishment of The People's Republic of China. It also helps ABC (American Born Chinese) understand Chinese history.
