Let me say this, anything raises awareness of minority group is a good thing for any minority. I don't think Chinese should be jealous of African-Americans for affirmative actions. I agree with the notion that one should go out and actively pursue own interest, instead of sitting back and complaining. That being said, I don't agree that a mere fact that a minority candidate enters White House would automatically benefit other ethnic groups. It all comes down to the person, instead of the race of that person. So far, I haven't seen Obama with any substantiative messages. People from developing countries, including Chinese are more familiar with inspirational speakers and charismatic politicians. The memory are not fond, so far. I want some real meat.

He's all sizzles, no steak, IMHO.
