engineer specialised in railway is highly in demand and got paid very well. I think he mentioned 140k with four years experience. Aussie ppl are not big fans for engineering and overseas student don't choose this major.

They not only design railway, but have to maintain the controlling system as well.

But mind you, I always think you have to be interested in what you do as well.
