Buffalo or Lacie has the best putthrough reliability if the traffic is high. If you have too many users or very high traffic you might need a commercial level NAS.

I would not suggest you buy any home use NAS like Maxtor or Linksys. The performance is very disapointing and can not really handle a few users at the same time.
