a day and a half too short !!

It's better you tell where you'll start your trip. In general, Swiss is such a beautiful country that you will enjoy no matter where you go. In 2004 we had a great time there, starting from Shafhausen (sp?) in the north, (nearby the Euro's lone water falls on the Rhine)going all the way to the south, Lausan (sp?), and back, stayed in B & Bs, loved it. We didn't go thru Alps, however. But all the sceneries are so memorable that will draw us back again in the future. Anyway, you will not go wrong there, for sure.
