your older one is better. If use a tripod and dial up the

exposure by about +0.5 EV that would make it a good photo.

The new one is overexposed, and have too many artifacts. (artificial over-sharpening. Canon has a tendency to do that with their JPEGs.

(I took it the 2nd is the older one).
