回复:李志绥的书一出,捧毛的这些老套早就不灵了。

Since you mentioned 李志绥的书, I have problem with the book. The book was first published in English which listed Li as the author and xxx as the English translator. That means the book was originally written in Chinese.
Then it came the Chinese version which lists Li as the author, xxx as the English translator, and strangely Li also listed as the Chinese translator. Since the original was in Chinese, why the book had to be translated into Chinese?????
Also, there were distinct discrepancies in the published English and Chinese versions particularly with respect to Mao's private life.
I would treat the book as a piece of sensationalized and dramatized polemics rather than as history, not until such time we have seen the original manu, Only time will tell.
