This is incredible. Chang Jung's Mao biography contradicted with the "Wild Swan". Many so called unknown stories of Mao contradicted with their (Chang and her hu*****and Jon Halliday) writings such as Mme Sun Yet-sen (Soong Ching Ling) and Halliday's "Korea - the Unknown War."
The problem with the Mao book is that the unknown stories are subjective assertions based on distorted historical facts.
The Mao book would be newly discovered history if the cited sources and the interviews are verified and checked. The sources and interviews are unverifiable. Until such time the Mao book remains a fiction cloaked in facts.
One of the alleged interviewees Zhang Hanzhi claimed that she declined interview by Chang although they have met met informally.
