so far i only put her in her crib (as time out). this works very well, she tries her best now not to get time out, but i always give her warning b4 using it.
my baby has bad temper when i couldn't understand her. i just keep on asking her questions what is she really want, observe her face reaction, and meantime, teach her to recognise things.
i read from book that we could teach baby about feelings. for example, when we see a baby cries in the park, i will tell cc that baby is crying, he is sad. when cc falls and hurt herself, i will gently touch that area and comfort her. now when i ask her which part of her body is painful, she could tell me.
she also seems very angry during book reading time. with the help of FW1991, i manage to find out the reason for her anger is short time span and too many distractions from other books. i keep most of her books away, have 4 of her favourite books in a small storage box. i let her open the box and select which book to read, then close the box. that way she could concentrate very well to read the whole book. and make no more fusses.
hope this is helpful.
since our babies are about the same age, hope we could share child care experience more often in the future.
not sure about others but my 13m old is very bad temper too
